Born in Hong Kong, China, and a citizen of New Zealand, client was performing research in J-1 status. As a Postdoctoral Researcher and Statistician in the Department of Human Genetics/Department of Biostatistics at the University of California, Los Angeles (“UCLA”), client was working in the field of bioinformatics and genomics, specifically in the development of the software BEAST (Bayesian Evolutionary Analysis Sampling Trees).
