On September 20, 2024 USCIS approved an I-290B motion to reopen filed by attorney Noaman Azhar. Client’s initial adjustment of status application was handled by another law firm. Unfortunately, the initial application was denied because USCIS determined that client’s supporting documentation in connection with their background check was not sufficient. Attorney Noaman Azhar helped guide client in securing the correct police clearance letters and affidavits, and submitted the new background check documentation with a legal brief and supporting case law arguing for client’s eligibility for a green card. USCIS accepted the new supporting documentation, agreed with the legal arguments made by attorney Noaman Azhar and subsequently approved the motion after 11 days. This allowed the client to continue their adjustment of status application and ultimately receive their green card.
