Noaman Azhar

Managing Partner

Noaman’s legal practice is primarily devoted to Immigration and Nationality Law where he focuses a significant portion of his time handling employment and family immigration matters. Noaman often serves as lead counsel for trial related matters at Azhar & Azhar Law Firm and has earned petition approvals for his clients in almost every single visa category. He was selected as a Texas Rising Star by Texas Super Lawyers Magazine in 2014, 2015, and 2016 – an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice.  Only 2.5% of attorneys in Texas receive the distinction.

In the area of employment immigration, Noaman regularly advises large and small companies on proper Department of Labor procedures and guidelines for labor certification filings. As a former athlete himself, Noaman works closely with many professional athletes in securing O-1 visas and permanent residency (EB-1A) based on their extraordinary athletic ability.

In Federal immigration court, Noaman has secured Asylum and Withholding of Removal for many of his clients, including those from Albania, Eritrea, Pakistan and Iran. He has also successfully argued many complex legal issues in immigration court including admissibility, deportability, eligibility for immigration relief and waivers. His advocacy and superior trial skills have earned him the praises of multiple immigration judges in Dallas, TX.

Noaman also maintains constant communication with many U.S. embassies around the world regarding immigrant and non-immigrant visa matters, including U.S. embassies in Islamabad, Sydney, Montreal, Mumbai, Ciudad Juarez and London.

While in law school, Noaman was elected to the exclusive National Order of Barristers – an honor ordinarily reserved for the top 5 advocates in a law school’s graduating class – and served as Chairman of the Board of Barristers.  Noaman also received the Best Advocate award at multiple national speaking competitions and upon graduating received the Judge Meade F. Griffin Outstanding Achievement Award, the Fulbright & Jaworski Scholarship Award, the Donald M. Hunt Outstanding Barrister Award and the Cotton, Bledsoe, Tighe & Dawson Top Gun Advocacy Award.

Noaman is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the U.S. District Court Northern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.  He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), The Texas Bar, The American Bar Association (ABA), and the Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA).
